Wild Waves, a combination water park/amusement park, has scads of water slides, roller coasters, and other thrill rides for adrenalin junkies. Young children like the antique carousel, Enchanted Railway, miniature cars, and other gentler rides. The Hook's Lagoon is an interactive family water park with activities for smaller children. Older kids who are strong swimmers can venture into the Wave Pool. Check the website for a complete list of rides and slides and height limitations.
Plenty of fast food is available at the park, but expect to pay at least double what it would cost to purchase the same items at your neighborhood drive through. Outside food or beverages are strictly prohibited; our bags were searched on our last visit. Staff do not allow so much as a water bottle into the park, and a 20-ounce bottle of water at the vending machines is $3. In-and-out privileges are included with admission. The parking admission price permits one departure from and return to the lot.
Season passes are available for $74.99.
Strollers and lockers are available for rent and swim diapers can be purchased at Surfside Gifts. Wear swimsuits/clothing that can get wet and bring towels, sunscreen, and hats.
