Families discover Arizona's largest collection of exotic animals at the Wildlife World Zoo in the far west Valley. An albino alligator, white tigers and rhinos, Sable antelope, and Saharan oryx are just some of the more than 3000 beautiful creatures on display.
The natural environment invites more close-up interaction with the animals. Kids will stroll alongside red kangaroos, emus, cockatoos, and wallabies in the Kangaroo Walk-About, feel the rough blue tongue of a giraffe during the Giraffe Feeding, soar over camels and aviaries on the Idearc Media Skyride (additional charge applies), and giggle over birds in tuxedos at the Penguin Exhibit.
The facility's new aquarium includes black tip reef sharks, black-footed penguins, eels, stingrays, seahorses, barracuda, and jellyfish, as well as Nile and dwarf crocodiles.
The facility's old aquarium has been transformed into animal nursery exhibits where families can view a variety of baby animals.
Outdoor exhibits include a Log Flume Ride, the African Safari Train, and the Australian Boat Ride, all integrated into live animal exhibits.
The Log Flume is 1500 feet long, and gives riders a close up-view of primate islands that feature spider monkeys and capuchin monkeys, then spins through a 20-foot long acrylic tunnel surrounded by South Pacific Reef fish. The trip ends with a three story plummet into a splash pool.
The zoo has a nice playground and picnic area, and stroller rental is available.
