Willow Creek Park features a playground, a softball/baseball diamond, a soccer field, three tennis courts, and a picnic pavilion with seven picnic tables and a grill. Reservations for the outdoor pavilion can be made in person at the Parks and Recreation Office - 440 East 8680 South. Sandy City residents pay $22.50 for a half day, and non-city residents pay $46. All day reservations are available as well.
Restrooms are located on the south side of the picnic pavilion.
The playground, geared for children between the ages of five and 12, is on sand. It has two swings, two slides, and things to climb and swing on.
A mostly paved 1/2-mile path circles the small park. It is a nice place for a leisurely stroll or an easy jog. Some parts are shaded, and there are benches and a picnic table near the path.
The baseball/softball diamond can be reserved by phone. Spectators must sit on the hill surrounding the field; no bleacher seating is provided. Two small team benches are offered.
The tennis courts have no artificial lighting. Open play is allowed as long as no one has the court reserved. To make tennis court reservations, call the number listed above. A one-hour time limit applies when others are waiting to use the court.
Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed. Dog owners are encouraged to pick up after their pets, and plastic bags are provided on the wall outside the restrooms.
Sandy City parks serve as flood retention ponds, therefore use is restricted when water is present.
