The Winchester Cultural Center comprises a small art gallery and a 274-seat performance and film theater. The center offers a wide array of dance, drama, and storytelling events throughout the year, many of them geared to families. The center also hosts several workshops and classes in the performing arts, as well as summer camps for schoolage children.
The Center also features the Star Catchers theater group for children.
The center also has an adjacent Desert Demonstration Garden. The Friends of Winchester provides books and educational materials in order for local families to learn more about their desert environment. Books, measuring tools, scopes, and other items are available for check out with a photo identification.
