When Winder Dairy started expanding its product line to include not only farm fresh, all-natural, preservative-free dairy products, but also fresh, natural, preservative-free meats, fruits, vegetables, juices, bakery items, etc., it changed its name to Winder Farms to more accurately reflect the products it delivered. Parents who grew up along the Wasatch Front may remember taking tours of the dairy when they were younger. Although tours are no longer offered, Winder Farms does have a Country Store that families are welcome to visit.
The store sells Winder products, which are fresher, healthier alternatives to the stuff that is available in the average grocery store. Parents can actually feel good about feeding their families the food from Winder Farms - and if you haven't tasted milk that comes from the cow to the home within 48 hours, you're missing out. It really does make a big difference. Home delivery is available, but be prepared to pay exorbitant prices for the service.
The store also serves breakfast and lunch specials Monday through Friday. Call to find out the daily special. Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am on Fridays only, and lunch is served from 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday. Hot dogs, ice cream cones, sundaes, and shakes are served all day Monday through Saturday for shoppers who get the munchies outside of the breakfast and lunch hours. Prices vary depending on the daily special, but prices truly reflect a country store experience - very inexpensive. Ice cream cones cost just $0.95 for adults and $0.75 for kids, and a baby cone is available for just $0.50.
