Pilot wannabes and fans of unfeathered things that fly are bound to be transfixed by the aircraft and space artifacts at
Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, housed in a huge hangar at the former Lowry Air Force Base.
Permanent exhibits include over 35 aircraft, President Eisenhower's Western White House at Lowry AFB, and Lowry AFB History. The museum also hosts Cockpit Demo Cockpit Day on the second Saturday of each month, when kids are invited to explore airplane cockpits, fly around Wings' pedal plane airport, and perhaps even chat with a few real pilots. See our
calendar for details.
Summer camp programs feature five fun and educational days learning about airplanes, rockets, and our solar system.
