about Winter's Eve :

The annual street festival called Winter's Eve kicks off at 5:30pm with a festive tree lighting in Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street). Visitors can stick around for some live entertainment and then continue on along Broadway, from the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle to 68th Street, for more - the sidewalks are alive with street musicians, jugglers, stilt-walkers, choral groups, marching bands, dance troupes, and delicious food from area restaurants.

Food tastings from over two dozen Lincoln Square area restaurants take place at three outdoor spots: in front of the Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, along Broadway between 63rd and 64th Streets, and at Richard Tucker Park between 65th and 66th Streets. Prices range from $1 to $5. A portion of restaurant proceeds are donated to City Harvest and the public is encouraged to bring canned food to the City Harvest truck located at Dante Park.
