The Wyoming Branch primarily serves a young population of visitors, so most of the library is geared toward children, teenagers, and young adults.
Students from the middle school across the street drop in after school, and the branch has one of the busiest and most varied teen collections in the city. Children's nonfiction is interfiled with adult nonfiction in the rear of the library, and the nonfiction collection includes books in Spanish and Vietnamese. Storybooks in Spanish, Chinese, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Haitain are also available.
All Free Library of Philadelphia branches offer a LEAP After School Program, which provides homework assistance, computer literacy, library skills, and enrichment activities for school-age children and teens (grades one through 12). Call the branch for details. Every branch also provides two preschool computers with educational games and activities.
