Young daredevils who seem to have crampons instead of fingers should check out the Xtreme rock climbing center. With over 14,000 square feet of climbing wall, there's challenges for beginner to expert climbers. Full-time safety supervision is available during all business hours. Daily climbing passes are $14. If you plan to visit often, the $45 monthly pass or the $76 7-visit pass is worth the investment. Climbing classes for children 14 and up and adults are offered every day and are $35 per person. The class includes a day pass and gear; participants can stay and climb after the class. The Kid's Intro Class is for children ages 10 to 13 and is offered once a week for four consecutive weeks, Mondays and Fridays, and is $52 for the session. For the little ones, an afterschool Kid's ClimbTime is offered on Monday through Friday at 5pm. For $15 the kids get to climb under the supervision of one of the staff for an hour. All classes require reservations and a release of liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian to guarantee a safe class size. Birthday parties are offered for children ages 7 and older. Parties are up to 2 1/2 hours long with 90 minutes of climbing and up to 60 minutes for refreshments in the party area, but the party rooms are available the entire climbing time and up to an hour afterwards. Up to 20 children can participate, and the price per person varies depending on the number of participants. For 5-10 children cost is $21 per person; 11-15 kids is $20 per person; and for 16-20 children the cost is $19 per person. Supervision is based on a 1:5 ratio. Parties can be booked on Saturdays and Sundays at either 11am, 1pm, or 3pm, and a $50 deposit is required to save the date.
