about Yerba Buena Ice-Skating Center:

Right in downtown San Francisco is an NHL-size ice skating center with skyline views of the city. First-timers are welcome - you can rent skates here for $3.

The Center works hard to make skating fun. It hosts skating events and parties; offers instruction in figure skating and ice hockey; and does what it can to foster a club atmosphere. You can find out what's happening every week by signing up for its free online newsletter.

Classes: Beginners ice hockey and figure skating package are the same: 8 weekly 30-minute group lessons ($150). Several other classes for all levels of instruction are available.

Classes are taught by professionals and designed to teach skills and build confidence. Students are given free practice time at this newly built facility. Ice skating for children 3 and above.

Parties: The center can host large or small birthday parties. Their standard small package is big enough for 10-25 people and is available on Saturdays and Sundays only. The small party package in the ice center includes a party room decorated with festive, colorful streamers and balloons; a party hostess to lay out all party supplies, as well as clean up afterwards; use of the party room for 45 minutes; admission to the ice skating center and skate rental for 10 to 25 guests.

During your time in the party room, your party celebrant may choose to open his/her gifts and your guests can enjoy the food and beverages you've chosen in advance. You can choose from two different lunch menus; the cake is not provided. The cost is $18 a person (10-person minimum).
