about Z.J. Loussac Public Library:

The Anchorage Public Library System has six locations in and around Anchorage. Both wireless and on-site internet access are available at all locations.

The Loussac Public Library, in addition to to requisite books, periodicals, and borrow-able media, is home to the Wilda Marston Theater, where family-oriented events are often performed.

Free youth programs are offered on a regular basis for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children and teens. Live Homework Help offers online access to tutors in several subjects.

Story packets on a variety of themes are available for the public to check out for instant story times for youth aged five and under. A summer reading program is offered mid-May through July to encourage kids to read.

getting there:

From downtown Anchorage, take the New Seward Highway south to 36th Avenue. At the second light, turn left to Denali Street, then take the first right into the library. The library is served by People Mover bus routes 36 and 60.
