Zion Lutheran School is in its 60th year of service and is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA). Zion provides a Christ-centered, academically oriented education with an outstanding reputation for academics, athletics, and service in the San Francisco community.

Class Size: 25 student max. Current enrollment is approx. 160.

Facilities: Indoor gym, playground with play structure & basketball hoops, computer lab, internet access, libraries in every classroom, multi-purpose rooms.

Programs: Music education, Art, Annual K-6 Musical Production, Interscholastic athletic programs- Basketball & Volleyball for grades 5-8 and a yearly Track Meet for all grades, Beginning & Advanced Hand bell choirs, Physical Education & Computer Education at all grade levels, After-school tutoring and enrichment.

Lunch Program: Yes. A hot lunch program brings food in from outside vendors, 5 days a week. A milk program is offered to all grades for an additional fee.

Before & Afterschool Program: Extended care is available. Beginning at the kindergarten level, Zion offers multiple enrichment classes for students on site. Included in extended care fees are cooking and art instruction. Classes offered for an additional fee include: piano, violin, academic chess, Mandarin, and a Friday basketball workshop. Tutoring is also available on site.

Uniforms: Dennis Uniform Company is the provider for our Blackwatch plaid (navy & green) skirts and jumpers, blue pants and shorts, white and green polo shirts, green sweaters and vests, and green sweatshirts emblazed with the Zion Lion logo.

Zion Lutheran School also offers a Summer enrichment program. The six week summer program focuses on academic enrichment in the morning and recreational activities in the afternoon.
