About Zonkers

The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best indoor playspace/partyplace in Kansas City, Zonkers is an indoor theme park with a mix of amusement rides, built to scale for indoor use. Rides include a roller coaster, small train, an airplane ride, and the Sky Maze, one of the largest soft play areas in the Kansas City area. Birthday party packages are also available.

Entrance to Zonkers (and the soft-play area) is free. Tickets for rides can be purchased or all-day wristbands also are available.

Zonkers is simply a great place, full value worth of money for my kids.

Zonkers is a great place for kids as they can be there all day long and can re-enter for free after shopping in the mall. There party packages are awsoem full value worth of money, I have my 3 year old daughter's party for 25 kids there, they just had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Iam definately going back there.

I always takes my 4 kids to Zonkers. It is one of the greatest place around Kansas City area. I had awesome experience with this place. Angel I do not agree with what you saying possibly you did not ask the employee what you wanted and their help. They always has a game tech and reward me more tokens than I lost.

I went to the mall and saw they had this place for kids to play. Thought it was a great idea because you get the mall and a place like chuck e chez. What a waste. At chuck e chez you get more tokens for a cheaper price, games actually work, you get more tickets, plus prizes are better and it dont take at least 30 tickets to get one sucker at chuck e chez.Zonkers is a waste of time and money. My child hated it and cried. Their employees are a bunch of high school kids who customer service skills are terrible. They get an attitude when you come to them to get your tokens back because 5 out of 6 machines I put my token in took my token but didnt work. In this economy Im not going to throw money away. The employees are more interested in standing around and laughing and goofing off then running a business. Their food is so high price when I did order something it was horrible my four yr old child wouldnt even eat it and he eats spinach and brocolli so he will literally eat anything except zonkers food. When I tried to ask them to just buy my tokens back and I would be on my way because I got tired of going back to the couinter over and over and they tryin to come out and fix the machine which took over an hour and still arent fix they said they couldnt they would rather my child have a horrible time and spend more time at counter then have fun. I ask to speak to manager. Some 16yr old kid said he was the manager so i asked to speak to general manager I was told he wasnt in til next day. I called back for several days just to be told he comes and go when he wants and he has another job he works. If Zonkers wasnt so terrible and actually was bringing customers in maybe he wouldnt have to have another job. Once again dont waste your money or your time here go to chuck e chez they are better all around. My son begs me everyday to go back I was trying to get him to like something else but he cries and says no mom I dont want to go to zonkers if I mention it.

Ive been a regular at Zonkers for a long time now. My son ALWAYS has a blast. The staff is always helpful (in fact I know most of the management by name). It can be a little pricey, but you definitely get your money's worth.

We weren't there 3 minutes and as I was putting a table cloth on one of the snack bar tables we were told by a not so friendly manager that we were not allowed to have a birthday party there unless it was booked, and that we could rent a birthday room for 25 bucks an hour. My son was very upset, it was just my husband and I and our 3 kids. It wasn't like we were having a big deal. I was peeved and so was my husband and I told the manager that if it wasn't for my son's birthday we would leave and not spend one red cent there. Zonkers used to be Jeepers. When it was Jeepers it was so packed and you could come in and bring your own cake and gifts and have a party. I told the manager, just look around....compared to Jeepers this place is dead and it was....the manager said in a huffy tone..." That just isn't true." and walked off....I thought that was completely rude....very poor customer service in my opinion and I am sorry if the truth hurts. I felt like my business and my imput was not appreciated at all. It was an expensive day and basically my son's birthday experience there was not a joyful one like it should have been! We will not be going back to Zonkers. Next time we will go to Chucke Cheese where we can have a birthday party if we so desire without having to go through an act of congress to do so.

I was recently calling around to see where we could have my son's 5th B-DAY Party. So I called Zonkers, and I kept James on the phone for about 15 minutes, and he was extremely helpful. It was a great experience, and I booked the party. He had a lot of knowledge.

Ive had horrible experiences in the past with similar parks, but my kids and I had a fantastic time at Zonkers. The rides were great; the games were fun; and the staff was extremely nice. My kids can't wait to go back, and neither can I!
