Zuma Beach County Park is one of Malibu's most popular beaches for families ready for a full day out. The sandy beach is a popular sunbathing, swimming, and socializing spot for teenagers and families with small kids, and the southern most end has a popular wall for rock-climbing.
Facilities include a playground with swings, volleyball, and year-round lifeguard, as well as restrooms, showers, and food concessions.
The beach narrows as it stretches north; for the shortest trip from car to sand, keep heading north through the parking lots.
From the Valley, take the 101 west to Kanan Road exit; turn right on Pacific Coast Highway. Street parking is tough to find, but the lot is extensive. Parking fees vary by season.
