| Exhibits 443795 | Animal HousesFamilies can see, touch, and explore 11 human-scaled, whimsically-imaginative Animal Houses in Morton's wetland, woodland, and prairie ecosystems. The gigantic interactive homes, designed by professional artists, help kids experience life as an animal and understand why trees are important to the survival of animal habitats. The "Animal Tram," operating daily through August, takes visitors on a two-hour tour of the houses, stopping for 20 minutes each at the woodlands, wetlands, and prairie. Life-size replicas include the Stegosaurus, three-horned Triceratops, flying Pteranodon, and the ever-popular meat-eating Tyrannosaurus rex.
