12/03/2009 | Holiday Light Festival Bike Night PreviewCyclists get a special preview of the annual Griffith Park holiday light display. A long stretch of Crystal Springs Drive is illuminated, and for one night only the views are only for visitors one bikes. 12/30/2009 | Holiday Light FestivalAn annual Griffith Park tradition, a long stretch of Carousel Drive is illuminated with a number of holiday themed displays. The lights are visible by vehicle or foot, and a shuttle from the LA Zoo parking lot shuttles guests along the route most nights to help save on gas. As a special green initiative, the first two weeks are vehicle-free; the lights are only viewable on foot from Dec 4 to 17. Equestrians can enjoy the festival from horseback weeknights (Mon-Thu) from Dec 9 through 30, between 5pm and 8pm; park staff direct path use to keep everyone safe. The DWP Festival is located along a one-mile section of Crystal Springs Drive between the Zoo parking area and the magnificent opening archway. We recommend going through in the left lane for a better view.
