All About Textiles Art Studio

The exhibition focuses upon textiles as a cultural artifact and art object, as well as on the materials, processes, and techniques used to make textiles. Included in the exhibition are an interactive area where visitors are encouraged to touch, feel, and participate in creative processes and information on the importance of textiles for many cultures around the world. As a part of the exhibit, the Art Studio is open for textile-related art projects: weave on a stand-up loom, fashion a bag out of plastic bags on a card loom, create a quilt design on a felt board, and learn how to macrame.
