| Exhibits 414056 | Terra Cotta WarriorsTerra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor includes a sample of the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World: 20 of the life-like, life-size clay warriors created as protectors of the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shi Huang, in the third century BC. The exhibit also features more than 100 other artifacts from the emperor's vast necropolis, including a suit of armor, pendants, and ritual objects. | Ongoing Exhibits 113124 | Cockrell Butterfly Center & Hall of EntomologyThe butterfly exhibit is a three-story glass structure that showcases hundreds of live butterflies in a naturalistic rainforest setting, where butterflies flutter among - and occasionally land on - visitors strolling the paths or relaxing on benches. The Brown Hall of Entomology contains several live insects from around the world, as well as interactive displays.
