56th Presidential Inauguration

Master model designers at the park have created the historic scene of Barack Obama taking the Presidential oath of office on the steps of the capitol, along with his family, Joe Biden and his wife, and more than a thousand other mini-figures constructed from Lego bricks. Part of the fun is identifying the characters, which include familiar faces like Oprah, Aretha Franklin, and Senator Feinstein. The scene is on display in Miniland through Memorial Day weekend; note that the park is closed on Inauguration Day, Jan 20. Check the website for a complete event schedule.

The festival also includes children's activities, an exhibit of children's artwork, live entertainment, and art workshops daily.
