Kehler's Gymnastics & Kids Fun Factory, one of the oldest family-oriented facilities in the Philadelphia area, has been owned and operated by the Kehler family since 1981.

The Gymnastic Center at Kehler's offers gymnastics instruction in small classes of four to six students, for boys and girls 15 months to 18 years old. Cheer tumbling classes are offered for as little as $10 per class (when registering for 10 weeks) or $12 for walk-ins.

The Fun Factory is an educational, indoor playground designed for children ages one to 11. The 3-floor, 20-foot play structure has tunnels, cargo nets, a ball pit, a giant spiral slide, and a trolley ride. Trained educators are available to supervise and help children, and there is a toddlers-only area with age-appropriate activities. Rock climbing is available by reservation only for children ages five to 14. One hour of climbing costs $10, and one hour of climbing plus Fun Factory admission is $12.

Birthday parties at Kehler's are offered for children up to 14 years of age. Activities include trampolines, moon bounces, ball pits, rock climbing, inflatables, indoor soft play, and more.

Special needs children are welcome at Kehler's classes, the Fun Factory, and birthday parties. Private gymnastics classes, as well as a parent participation class, are offered as well.

Boomers, the winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the Best Indoor Playspace/Partyspace for Big Kids in Philadelphia, is one of the area's original indoor play venues. The sprawling amusement palace offers a three-story, 3,000-square-foot indoor playground (known as the Fun Zone); more than 70 arcade games; two landscaped mini-golf courses; a driving range with professional golf instruction for golfers of all ages; and more.

The Fun Zone, designed for children ages twelve and under with parent supervision, features a moon bounce, corkscrew slide, and ride-in helicopter. Surrounding the various tunnels, ladders, and padded areas are redemption games for all skill levels, and a redemption counter with prizes. There is a small toddler area, for children ages three and under, for play separate from the fast-moving older children. One of the Fun Zone's best features is the fact that all equipment is oversized - so parents can join in the fun or retrieve wayward children easily. There are tables and chairs in full view of the room, so parents can sit and rest while maintaining a close eye on the kids! The Fun Zone also features a snack bar.

Miniature golf features two 18-hole courses surrounded by four waterfalls, streams, and ponds. The driving range, home to the Eric MacCluen Golf Academy, features 36 teeing stations (16 of which are covered and heated), elevated target greens, and a 900-square-foot practice sand bunker.

Boomers also houses Boomers Pizza and More, which offers tasty pizza made with a special family recipe, in addition to salads, sandwiches, and other kid-friendly foods.

Linvilla Orchards is one of the last working farms in the Delaware Valley, encompassing more than 300 acres of land devoted to farming, entertainment, education, and recreation. This sprawling family farm includes apple orchards, pumpkinland, a farm market, animals to visit with, and a playground.

The animal area is complete with white-tailed deer, emus, peacocks, goats, sheep and chickens - lots of chickens! Scattered throughout are seed machines where small change gets you a large handful of snacks for the animals. Next to each machine is a hand sanitizer, illustrating the farm's attention to details.

The playground is large and does ask for a small donation, which is reasonable considering everything else is free! Kids will run around for hours on the very large equipment, including several old fire engines. There are several large apple trees that provide shade, and benches are everywhere.

Snacks and drinks are available within the farm market. The bakery has delectable cookies and fantastic pies - be sure to take one home! Picnic tables are also available if you would like to bring your own food stuffs. Restrooms are available across from the playground and within the farm market. Diaper-changing stations are available.

The Hidden Hollow and Knowlton Swim clubs, located on the farm at Linvilla Orchards, are open seasonally from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hidden Hollow offers a 50-meter pool with three diving boards, a 25-meter lap pool, two slides, and three children’s pools. Knowlton offers toddler, intermediate, and 25-meter pools with two sliding boards, as well as boards and platforms for divers. The clubs’ other amenities include tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, swings, jungle gyms, picnic areas, swimming lessons, and a hiking trail.
