Rocketry, magnets, polymers - even the science of toys - are among the subjects covered by this educational company. Mad Science of South Central Alaska serves the Mat-Su Valley and the Municipality of Anchorage, from Trapper Creek to Girdwood. Kids can attend hands-on, one-hour sessions after school or participate in class workshops that can be arranged for local schools. All events are taught by trained, qualified, and dynamic instructors. Kids love Mad Science birthday parties, which last about one hour. Optional add-ons, like cotton-candy making, bubbling potions, and rocket launches are also available for extra cost. Parties can be held at any location, can accommodate any number of children, and are designed for kids ages five to 12. Party prices range from $199-$359 for up to 15 children. Mad Science's 2008 summer camp theme is Secret Agent Spy Academy, a hands-on program for ages five through 12 that explores the world of a secret agent. From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers will have the opportunity to check out spy equipment and even create their own edible message! Campers will use the Secret Code Breaker to communicate stealthily, like real spies. With the Undercover Observer, campers step into the shoes of a spy in action. The viewer allows them to observe visually, while the spy ear enhances their hearing. These tools provide a complete undercover kit for campers to take home. See the website for details. |
