The Alaska Moving Arts Center provides family and community oriented activities, and offers a wide variety of classes, including martial arts, ballet, aerobic kickboxing, preschool activities, and more. There are year-round classes for all ages and all interests.

The Center has two large open areas, a children's playroom, an eating area, dressing rooms, and restrooms.

Facilities at Spenard Community Recreation Center include an arts and crafts room, computer lab, dance and martial arts room, commercial kitchen, gymnasium, racquetball courts, teen center, and weight room. Several rooms are available for private rental.
