The Alaska Children's Choir offers many Southcentral Alaskan children the opportunity to train and perform to some of the highest artistic standards locally, nationally, and internationally. The choir is divided into six levels: Minisingers, Mastersingers, Chambersingers, Jubilate, Touring Choir, and the Camerata.

Auditions are held three times each year: In September for the Holiday semester, January for the Spring semester, and again in the summer for the Music Theater Workshops. During these workshops, singers explore techniques in singing, stage deportment, movement, and acting, while working on a short musical production to be performed at the end of each workshop session.

Alaska Junior Theater is a private, nonprofit organization that has been bringing the best in professional theater from around the world to Alaska's young audiences for more than 25 years.

Each year, more than 35,000 students attend a variety of live performances, which share the common educational goal of "bringing learning to life."

ATY offers children's theater performances throughout the year, and provides theatrical training for children on Saturdays during the school year. ATY also holds an annual summer conservatory program that runs for four weeks and culminates in a performance.

Anchorage Community Theatre's goal is to enhance the quality of life culturally for the community by providing a season of locally produced, exceptional theatre and year-round education and training for both children and adults. ACT provides a variety of opportunities for all, from beginner to professional, to learn the art and craft of theatre, both onstage and backstage.

The Sunday Showcase Series provides an opportunity for innovation and experimentation in the performing arts. New material may be introduced here, in the form of one-acts, scenes, and improvisations. It is also a way that ACT's aligned organizations in the Education and Outreach Program can offer performances to the public.

Town Square Municipal Park is the town's center for many events and celebrations. During the summer, this flower-filled park hosts concerts and festivals.

In the winter, the park serves as a primary location for New Year's Eve fireworks, and the town's Christmas tree lighting ceremony centers around the park's huge fir trees.

The park also has an outdoor amphitheater, where even in winter the seats are filled during events and celebrations.

The Wendy Williamson Auditorium is located on the west side of UAA's main campus near the Lake Otis Parkway and Providence Drive intersection. The Williamson Auditorium is the classroom for many of UAA's theater classes.
