Chastain Horse Park, is a premier equestrian center, dedicated to serving riders with cognitive, physical, or emotional disabilities, as well as inner-city and at-risk children, and the general public.

Situated on 13 acres of the City of Atlanta's Troy Chastain Memorial Park, the facilities include four barns housing 86 stalls to serve the therapeutic and outreach programs, boarding, and a riding program for the public.

Chastain Horse Park is designated a Premier Accredited Center by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Equine-assisted activities and therapies exercise the spirit as well as the body - an enormous benefit to persons with physical, mental, and emotional health challenges. Eagle Creek offers riding lessons in both English and Western disciplines by a CHA certified riding instructor. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

Riding students learn all aspects of horsemanship, from handling the horse on the ground to working with the horse under saddle, as well as horse management (feeding, vet care, etc).

The Center staff also trains and boards horses.

Day camps are held during the summer for children ages six to 16, and week-long spring, fall, and winter camps are available as well.

Ellenwood Equestrian Center is located just 15 minutes from East Atlanta Village. It offers horseback riding lessons for children and adults, a summer riding camp, and on-site birthday parties.

Lessons run one hour and focus on building a partnership between the student and the horse. Students learn to lead, groom, and tack up their lesson horse. The center teaches english riding, with a focus on dressage as riding abilities progress.

Children ages six to 15 can experience a whole week of horses at the Summer Day Camp. The fee is $200/week. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm, with before- and after-care available on an as needed basis at an additional fee of $5/day. Children participate in all aspects of running a stable, learning to feed horses, clean stalls, clean tack, groom horses, and, of course, ride. After lunch campers cool off in the above-ground pool, play, and do arts and crafts.

The farm features a very large deck with an above-ground pool overlooking the pasture - a great spot for birthday parties. During cool weather months, parties are held on the second story of the barn, which serves as a lodge for camp and viewing area for shows and other activities. Younger children can enjoy pony rides; older children get mini lessons on the horses. Party fees start at $150 for the first hour.

Foxcroft Farm is an equestrian center located on 26 acres in Alpharetta, offering riding lessons grouped by age and ability. A 13-stall lesson barn, three arenas, jumping courses, and a wooded trail are part of the facilities.
