The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital is one of the nation's leading pediatric health care institutions. More than 170,000 patients annually from Michigan and around the world seek general and specialized inpatient and outpatient treatment at the hospital.

Cool facts: It was Canadian Club whiskey man Hiram Walker who moved the hospital from a mere group of rented houses and barns to a professional facility. After losing his 13-year-old daughter Jennie, he donated a new building at St. Antoine and Farnsworth to Children's Hospital.

She is a staff physician at Royal Oak and Troy Beaumont Hospitals, Pontiac St. Joe's Hospital, and Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.
