ACAMP for AFC - All Children Are Many People; Arena for Christ - offers summer football conditioning and drills training for boys in eighth grade up through college. Sessions are for five weeks, four evenings per week at the Fort Bend Austin High School football field.

Ace Academic Enrichment Center offers an afterschool program with academic curricula for children in first through sixth grades, covering math, language arts, science, computers, indoor sports, and games, while also emphasizing character development. Pickup from nearby schools is available.

Inside the Alley Theatre are two separate theaters - the 824-seat Hubbard Stage and the smaller Neuhaus Stage. The Alley aims to present a wide range of plays, embracing classic, new, and neglected plays. American Robotics Academy offers summer day camps, after-school enrichment programs, classes, birthday parties, scouting activities, and other special events for young people to learn about robotics technology in today's world.

Programs encourage participants to explore, experience, and express themselves through hands-on, interactive robotics activities. Students gain experience with design and problem solving through the use of gears, motors, wheels and axles, pulleys, and remote control devices in order to build simple working robots - and to be inspired to create more complex robotic inventions.

Amy Blake's Academy offers a graduated program for students at least three years of age. Classes include creative movement for the littlest ones, along with ballet, tap, and jazz as the students grow.

Teens are placed in classes according to ability, not age.

The Academy also believes strongly in community service, so students enrolled in ballet may choose to perform in the bi-annual performance of the Nutcracker. This nonprofit performance serves the Clear Lake community as students perform at nursing and retirement homes, hospitals, and shelters.

Summer dance camps are available in June and July for ages three and up, and the Academy also offers birthday party packages, which include a one-hour dance class and a one-hour party.

Over five miles of hiking trails wind through several diverse ecosystems, including bayou, prairie, forest, and marshland, in the area's largest nature park.

The Discovery Loop takes visitors past the Bison Enclosure, the Texas Raptors Exhibit, platforms with scenic views of prairie and marshland, a butterfly garden, a pond teeming with turtles, great picnic spots, birdwatching areas, and more. Along the way, the Educational Center houses live snakes, fish, scorpions, and a tarantula, plus a tableful of animal bones and skulls to handle and examine. In back of the Educational Center are clean, large restrooms.

New to Armand Bayou is the John P. McGovern Children's Discovery Area, located behind the Educational Center. Fenced-in and well-shaded, with bench swings, flower gardens, a walking path, and a picnic table, this area is ideal for little ones who might not hold up well on a long nature walk. The Discovery Area also includes a crawl-through alligator, colorful information signs, and a sandbox with buckets and shovels.

Other activities include pontoon boat tours and canoe trips, available by advance reservation.

A re-created 1800s farmhouse includes a house full of antiques, a barn, organic garden, windmill, and a sugarcane press. The farmhouse is open Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm for tours and interactive demonstrations.

EcoCamp is a summer day camp for children ages four to 13. Activities include fishing and canoeing, while campers also use the Nature Center as a living laboratory to explore the world around them. Winter camp provides an opportunity for outdoor fun and learning during kids' Winter Break. The Center also hosts Creature Corner classes for preschoolers; call for the latest schedule.

Birthday party packages offer a choice of activities, recommended for kids ages five to 12 years old. Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance.

Run by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Bayou Bend has one of the nation's foremost assemblages of American decorative arts dating from 1620 through 1870. The house itself was built in 1928, and opened to the public as a museum in 1966. MFAH Members can receive discounted admission to Bayou Bend home tours.

The gardens are lush and beautiful, originally created as outdoor rooms for living and entertaining, not just views to be admired from within the house.

Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian game that combines martial arts, dance, and music. Classes teach the basic movements and structure of the game, as well as how to play the musical instruments and rhythms, and traditional Portuguese songs.

Camp Jam Rock 'n' Roll Summer Day Camp is the vision of renowned rock guitarist/songwriter Jeff Carlisi of the platinum selling band .38 Special. Camp Jam brings together young musicians and teaches them band dynamics, secrets of the trade, performance skills, and rock history, and allows them to interact with industry professionals.

Camp Jam also matches kids not already in a band with other campers based on age and ability, all under the direction of a professional mentor. Band members can learn fundamentals of practice with a group and rehearsal techniques, as well as songwriting and recording, and are given a chance to perform live on stage at the end of each session in front of family and friends.

Camp Jam Kidz is for pint-sized rockers ages seven to 10.
