Briargrove House is an afterschool social skills and life skills program for children and teens on the autism spectrum. Those enrolled in the program learn how to interact with their peers, cook basic meals, wash their clothes, make their beds, and clean up after themselves, as well as how to attend to personal hygiene needs. The students also engage in age-appropriate peer-building activities.

Innovative Counseling & Consulting Services offers counseling to children and parents dealing with childhood depression, difficulty adjusting to a divorce, special needs, and more. A free initial phone consultation is available.

The National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped provides free access to library materials especially designed for those with low vision or blindness or any type of physical disability.

Through NLS' national network of regional libraries, books and magazines on cassettes and in braille, as well as audio equipment, are mailed straight to participants' doors, at no cost.

The Enhancement Institute offers neurotherapy, a non-drug treatment for ADD/ADHD and other learning disabilities. The director, Nancy White, is a licensed psychologist and licensed family therapist.

The mission of The New School in the Heights is to provide an alternative educational experience for children in kindergarten through ninth grade with good or superior intelligence whose social-emotional delays interfere with success in school and life.

The school also hosts an "Arts in the Afternoon" afterschool program, which is open to children from other schools as well. The program is for children in grades four through nine.

The school's Super Cyber Summer Adventure focuses on web design, digital photography, computer
graphics, and other computer skills, while also developing kids' social skills.
