Crockett Charter Elementary School is part of Houston ISD, and offers a Head Start program, music program, and afterschool program.

KIPP 3D Academy is a public charter school, serving middle school students.

Ripley House Charter School offers prekindergarten through fifth grade.

The mission of The New School in the Heights is to provide an alternative educational experience for children in kindergarten through ninth grade with good or superior intelligence whose social-emotional delays interfere with success in school and life.

The school also hosts an "Arts in the Afternoon" afterschool program, which is open to children from other schools as well. The program is for children in grades four through nine.

The school's Super Cyber Summer Adventure focuses on web design, digital photography, computer
graphics, and other computer skills, while also developing kids' social skills.
