A brand new barn teaching children, juniors, and adults to train for three-day eventing (dressage, cross country & show jumping), or to just learn the basics to have a fun, safe time around horses.

The AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center, a leading swimming and diving facility located in Pasadena's Brookside Park at the Rose Bowl, offers year round programming for families, from babies to seniors, regardless of ability to pay. Camp Keystone sits on over 30 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains, offering campers a park-like environment.

This location is about 25 minutes north of LA and offers door-to-door transportation for campers who live between Newbury Park and Studio City. Activities include water and other sports, leadership training, and junior counselor programs.

This year-round riding school offers horseback riding classes in both dressage and hunter/jumper seat.

Director Linda West and her staff have chosen only gentle and well-trained horses to help them teach young children the basics of riding and horse care.

Prospective students are encouraged to start off with an evaluation in the form of three private lessons. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and the series of 3 costs $130. After completing the evaluation, students can either continue with private lessons or join a small group of two or three students.

Horse shows are held on site nine times per year and include both students and professional riders.

Paddock Summer Camp offers boys and girls the opportunity to learn horsemanship in a safe, fun environment. The ratio of counselors to campers is 4:1.

Campers ride once or twice a day, and in between they learn about tack, feeding, grooming and stable management, and work on horse-related arts and crafts projects. Campers should bring their own lunches and snacks.

Camp sessions run from Monday through Friday, at $300 per week. But campers may also sign up by the day, at $75 a day. A deposit of $75 is due at registration; the balance is due the first day of camp.
