Computerwisekids teaches children the basic skills needed to interact with personal computers. Each course aims to make young ones more capable and confident with personal computers.

Children learn the basics about computers, then are introduced to the Internet, and eventually learn to use the computer as a medium for arts and crafts.

Designed by internationally famous architect Frank O.Gehry, the Frances Howard Goldwyn Hollywood Regional Branch Library has an extensive entertainment industry collection.

The branch represents Hollywood's history with features like an archive of Hollywood Christmas Parade material from 1928 to the present, over 2000 theatre and dance programs and playbills, and 2500 unpublished television and film scripts. The library was renovated in 2005 to include an expanded storytelling area for children and families.

La Pintoresca Park comes by its Spanish name (meaning "picturesque") quite naturally. Situated along the incline toward the San Gabriel Mountains, the park offers lovely views of the hills. The park is also home to the lovely La Pintoresca Branch Library.

The area has several picnic tables and the ever-popular skate park, which opened in 2002 and got new equipment and a resurfacing job in the spring of 2008. Proper safety gear (helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads) is required for skating, and all minors must have parental consent to use the facility.

The park hosts countless summer and afterschool enrichment programs and sports activities, including basketball, softball, flag football, volleyball, and soccer, as well as nature, arts and crafts, special community events, and field trips.
