Recording artist Deborah Gibson teams up with Hollywood acting coaches Howard Fine and Cynthia Bain to create Camp Electric Youth. The performing arts summer camp offers a variety of classes for kids ages seven to 17 in acting, voice, dance, songwriting, and more.

As the high-powered names imply, this is a camp for kids serious about performing and interested in a career in the industry. The two-week camp culminates in a final showcase in front of casting directors, agents, managers, and producers. The Electric Lodge Theatre is a solar-powered visual and performing arts center in Venice. In addition to its theater space, it also has various studio spaces and is home to a myriad of classes, including parent and child music classes, dance, martial arts, and yoga. Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights has a recreation center that offers an after school program, summer and school vacation camp programs, and a variety of classes for kids.

Open Gym is held every Friday from 5:30pm-7pm at a fee of $15 for JAG members; $20 for non-members.
