The Cooke Center Summer Academy is a six-week academic and recreational summer program for children with special needs. Students receive direct instruction in all academic areas, with incorporated related services. In addition to direct instruction in language arts, students also participate in thematic studies, which focus on some aspect life in New York City.

Off-site education experiences ensure the application of skills outside of the classroom. Off-site education experiences may include participating in Central Park's Natural Classroom series, going fishing and canoeing at Alley Pond Park, and visiting Sony Wonder or the Tenement Museum.

Each afternoon, students engage in community-based inclusion, which includes sports, swimming, and arts and crafts at a local recreation center.

Happy Hour 4 Kids works with Manhattan OT in order to provide a comprehensive pediatric therapy center.

It offers socialization groups, speech pathology services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, counseling and social work services, special instruction, family training, and more.

SNACK, the Special Needs Activity Center for Kids, provides activities designed specifically for children with developmental disabilities.

Programs include socialization classes to help improve social skills and peer relations, soccer, swimming, and other sports classes.

A summer camp program for kids ages four to 12 is also available during the month of August. Activities include music, art, drama, dance, movement, and sports.

SpLaSH (Speech Language Summer Home) is designed for young children who may not be ready for day camp and still require some additional support in either their expressive or receptive language and/or social skills.

Small group (maximum 4:1 ratio) three-hour sessions target each child's individual speech and language needs. Therapy based activities include expressive language, receptive language, oral-motor skills, articulation, and social/pragmatic skills. Individual sessions are also available.

SpLaSH is run by Jill Smollen and Ilyssa Bialek, highly accredited SLP's who service children both in schools and privately in NYC.
