Teens can register for R.E.B.A.L. Summer Camp (Recreation and Endurance Boys And Ladies). Clayton Productions is a private entertainment school for everyone from young children through young adults. Instruction focuses on song, dance (ballet, jazz, etc.), voice, showmanship, and performance. Students in the advanced classes are selected through an audition process, but the entry-level and intermediate classes are available by registration. The Columbus Center is a community center that serves South Salt Lake residents. It is in the old and beautiful Columbus School building. Besides a basketball court, auditorium, and several meeting rooms, the building also houses a senior center and the Columbus Library.

Open play basketball and billiards is available to children in 3rd through 12th grades. The schedule for open play changes throughout the year, so call for times. Parents or legal guardians must fill out liability waivers for their children to participate. Open play is free.

is one of several local fitness centers that have benefited from the Zoo, Arts, and Parks (ZAP) Tax. Money from the fund helped build the facility in 2001, and locals have been enjoying the fitness center ever since.

The center offers a climbing wall, two indoor pools (a lap pool and a leisure/activity pool), a fitness room, aerobics areas, a gym, a basketball court, an indoor track, and a drop-in child care center.

The Leisure Pool features a lazy river, a large water slide, a bubble couch, and a water fort. It is open Mon-Tue 3pm-8:30pm, Wed-Fri 1pm-8:30pm, Sat 11am-8:30pm, and Sun 10am-3:30pm. Tot Time, a time for just parents and children under the age of five, is offered Tue & Thu 11am-12n. The center also operates the Draper Outdoor Pool from Memorial Day to Labor Day each summer.

The Gymboree Learning Program offers a progression of developmentally appropriate play, music, and art classes for children and their parents. Classes focus on the whole child in order to help children acquire the key ingredients - motor skills, social skills, and self-esteem - they need to grow up to be confident, happy, and successful adults. From first born to first grade, there is a program appropriate for every child.

Fees at Gymboree run $59 per month. For that price, parents/tots fully utilizing the program can fit in 12-14 visits per month, including three open gym times.

Bubble camps run during the summer months. The camps are for fully potty trained kids ages three to five.

The Hawaiian Cultural Center is a place where the native Hawaiian community can gather to share and learn about their unique culture. Everyone is welcome. Through all of the "playing" children are actively learning math, reading, numbers, science, and emotional literacy. Parents are required to provide diapers, wipes, and food for their children.

Modern/Creative Dance classes for children ages 2 1/2 to 12 are taught at an off site facility .

Summer camps at the center combine art education with science, math, reading, dance, music, drama, and art. Children ages 15 months to 6 years old may participate.
