Deer Valley Resort has been rated the top North American ski resort by the readers of Ski magazine several times and has been consistently ranked #1 in the individual areas of dining, guest service, and mountain grooming. The resort is typically open for the ski season from early December to mid April, conditions permitting. Children's Ski Instructors are trained specifically in techniques for teaching children ages three to 12 how to ski. The resort also has a state-licensed Children's Center to provide supervision and activities for non-skiing children. Deer Valley Resort has a local reputation as being one of the pricier ski areas, but one visit to the resort shows why it's worth it to pay a little more for this ski experience. Guests here can expect attentive service, gourmet food, luxury accommodations, and four well- groomed mountains offering a wide variety of terrain covered with an annual 300 inches of light, dry, Utah powder. It's an experience like no other. This is a skier's resort. No snowboarding is allowed. In the summer, Deer Valley Resort offers lift-served mountain biking, hiking, and scenic chairlift rides seven days a week from mid-June through Labor Day, then weekends only through September. Bike rentals and instruction is also available. Other summer activities at the resort include outdoor deck dining at the Royal Street Cafe, the Deer Valley Music Festival featuring the Utah Symphony and Opera, and concerts in the Outdoor Amphitheatre. Summer Adventure Camps provide entertainment for children ages one to 12. Kids are divided into age groups, and each group takes part in activities such as crafts, games, outdoor recreation, and exploration. Camps run from mid June through late August, and children can attend daily, weekly, or for the entire season. Rates vary by camp; check the Deer Valley website for details about the individual camp options and for pricing. Call 888.754.8477 for availability, reservations, or additional information. |
