The San Antonio Park and Recreation Department teams up with local school districts to provide Kid Quest, a self-monitored, supervised eight-week summer program for children at more than 60 sites throughout the city. Activities include recreation games, sport, arts and crafts, and an enrichment program in art and science.

Class size is limited and program slots fill quickly. An annual mass registration is held each spring at the Alamodome.

St. Mary's Univeristy athletic department offers a variety of athletic opportunities during Rattler Sports Camps. Expert instruction in baseball, basketball, soccer, and softball is offered in day camp, half-day camp and overnight camp formats is available for every June and July.
