Focusing on multicultural performing and visual arts, the Carver Community Cultural Center hosts a variety of dance, music, and special events throughout the year. The Carver also offers classes for children in music, dance, ceramics, performing arts, and more.

Inspire Fine Art Center offers a variety of art classes - including painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry making, and more - for children ages six and up. Students ages 14 and up are welcome to participate in adult classes. Homeschool classes are also available in five-week sessions.

The center also has an open studio where artists and students can drop in and produce artwork for a monthly fee. Scholarships are available for those in financial need.

Perpetual Puppets is a family-run company that builds its own beautiful puppets, presents live stage shows, including birthday party entertainment, and offers camps and workshops for kids and adults.

The San Antonio Museum of Art's collection spans works from American to Latin American to Asian to Contemporary, with nods to the Europeans, Oceanic Art, and Western Antiquities.

The museum's education department offers workshops and summer programs for kids.

SAY S' [San Antonio Youth Yes] is a year-round, long-term, tuition-free arts program for high school and middle school students who are interested in making and selling their artwork and learning more about the business side of the arts. Programs include a visual arts (painting/drawing/design) and film and media. SAY Si also serves the community with an arts outreach program.

The Southwest School of Art & Craft is a nationally-recognized leader in arts education, offering studio programs for more than 4000 adults, children, and teens annually.

Saturday Morning Discovery is a free introductory art experience offered for children ages five to 16 on Saturday mornings during the school year. Media includes ceramics, drawing, painting, pinhole photography, silk-screening, stained glass, origami, and seasonal activities. Parents or guardians are required to stay with the children throughout the program and often work alongside them. Each session is one month long, and advance reservations are required.

Summer Art Camp, open to kids ages five to 16, offers one- and two-week long classes, concentrating on a specific media or subject.

The school also organizes contemporary art exhibitions, lectures, and concerts, and it houses a History Museum and Visitors' Center, a gallery shop, and a café (open for lunch only).
