Beethoven Maennerchor is one of the oldest German singing societies in Texas. In addition to the parent organization - the men's chorus - musical groups include the Damenchor (women's chorus), the Kinderchor (children's chorus), the Beethoven Concert Band, and the Beethoven Dance Band.

Kids ages four to 15 - who would like to sing in German - are welcome in the Kinderchor/Jugendchor membership. No knowledge of German is required, and there are no fees; just attend one of the group's practices.

Focusing on multicultural performing and visual arts, the Carver Community Cultural Center hosts a variety of dance, music, and special events throughout the year. The Carver also offers classes for children in music, dance, ceramics, performing arts, and more.

The Children's Chorus of San Antonio is comprised of more than 200 talented young musicians from San Antonio and surrounding communities. Weekly rehearsals provide a rigorous curriculum of performance-based instruction ranging from the basics of vocal technique through an extensive and diverse repertoire. Choristers and participants are divided into five choirs and two extended programs. Auditions are held twice a year.

Fiesta Music Together offers developmentally appropriate music and movement classes for kids from birth to age sevem, along with their parents or other caregivers. Singing, dancing, playing rhythm instruments, and snuggling are combined in a rich musical environment.

Hours: The schedule varies, but classes are generally held on weekday mornings and afternoons, and on Saturday mornings.

Jensen's Yamaha Music School, an authorized Yamaha Music School, has been teaching music to students, age two through adult, since 1976. Jensen's is also a research and development center for Yamaha Corporation's Music Education System.

pre-school through professional.

Youth Orchestras of San Antonio provides orchestral music, education, and performance opportunities for young people throughout the South Texas region. YOSA supports five orchestras (Philharmonic, Symphony, Sinfonietta, Capriciccio, and Prelude), and also offers a summer camp program.
