Alamo Segway offers Segway tours of historic San Antonio. Glide to popular sites including the RiverWalk, the Alamo, La Villita, Tower of the Americas, El Mercado, and more on the unique two-wheeled Segway. Gliders attend an Orientation and Training session before heading out for the sites of San Antonio.

Tours last approximately two and half hours and reservations in advance are recommended.

The Boerne Municipal Pool is an outdoor public pool, open from Memorial Day weekend through September.

Who wouldn't get excited upon hearing that they're about to embark on a "space mission"? For space enthusiasts, the Challenger Learning Center provides
hands-on, realistic, simulated space missions for people ages six and up (public missions are geared towards
those 11 and up). The activities here are unique in that they encourage participants to work together and perform activities similar to astronauts, scientists and engineers.

Reservations are required for all public missions, which are held intermittently throughout the year - check the website for schedules. Missions can also be booked for school and scout groups, birthday parties, and corporate team-building sessions.

In the summer, the center's one-week and two-week day camps allow children to engage in all sorts of space themed activities, including hands-on workshops, simulated missions, and field trips. The camps are open to kids between third and eighth grades.

Essentially an upscale, indoor carnival, Dave & Buster's has it all, from zillions of arcade games (older kids are drawn to the Million Dollar Midway), to redemption ticket games smaller kids can play for prizes. There are also a couple restaurants to provide energy for those marathon gaming sessions.

One of Texas' most famous natural attractions, the Natural Bridge Caverns offer kids and families the opportunity to pan for precious stones, take a caving adventure tour, and practice climbing and zip-line skills at the Watchtower Challenge, 50 feet up.

The Discovery Tour winds through a half-mile of the largest and most spectacular show cavern in Texas, 180 feet below the ground, in the company of a knowledgeable tour guide. It departs every 30 minutes and it's appropriate for kids ages three and up.

The Mining Company claims to own Texas' largest sluice – a series of troughs leading from a water-filled wooden tower. As the water runs through the troughs, bags of mining "rough" are emptied and sifted through screen trays – the water washes away the dirt, revealing sparkling gems and minerals or even fossils and arrowheads. After kids discover some gems and minerals, they can use the identification charts to accurately identify exactly what they've found.

The San Antonio Zoo and Aquarium, located in Brackenridge Park, is a true San Antonio gem.

San Pedro Springs is San Antonio's oldest park and the second oldest park in the United States behind Boston Common. The park is also a beautiful place for a family event and can be rented for special events. During the summer months the lake is enclosed and serves as a swimming pool.

The park is also home to San Pedro Playhouse, the San Pedro branch library, McFarlin Tennis Center, and Koger Stokes Softball Complex. The pool is also available for parties during the summer months.
