Carteret Mortgage Branch Boys & Girls Club offers a wide variety of drop-in programs as well as before- and afterschool care and summer camp. Facilities include three gymnasiums, wrestling room, theatre room, library game room, ceramics lab, teen lounge, arts and crafts room, training kitchen, classrooms, and a multi-purpose room.

Drop-in activities include sports (basketball, soccer, flag football), open gym, arts and crafts, music, computer skills, homework help, and more. There are also athletic leagues for basketball, softball, volleyball, flag football, and cheerleading.

Before- and afterschool care includes transportation to and from a number of area schools, plus programs such as gym time, computer time, arts and crafts, and homework help.

The City of Takoma Park Recreation Department offers a wide variety of classes and programs for children of all ages, including dance, arts, fitness, yoga, martial arts, language, computers, and music. Before and afterschool care, school vacation day field trips, spring and summer break camps, and various youth/teen clubs round out the offerings.

Jelleff Boys & Girls Club provides a safe and fun place for kids to spend time after school. The Jelleff Club is a full-service, year-round Club offering a variety of programs in sports, education, recreation, and the arts, housed in a facility that includes a gym, game room, Teen Center, computer lab, outdoor pool, and field. It offers an after school tutoring program, special activites such as yoga, art, hip hop, and hand drumming, as well as Youth leadership groups.

Summer Camp programs at this branch are available in bi-weekly increments, beginning in June and ending in September. Camp hours are 9am-4pm, with before- and after-care options for an additional fee.

The Rollingcrest-Chillum Splash Pool features a heated, 20-yard lap pool with a drop slide and lily pad walk; a heated family pool with beach grade entry, a tube slide, otter slide, and water play features; a heated whirlpool; a heated children's pool with beach grade entry, water play features, an island play area, an otter slide and a tube slide; a lobby observation area; locker rooms with coin-operated lockers; and a family changing room. Swimming lessons, recreational swims, lap swims, water aerobics classes, senior aquatics exercise programs, and deep water exercise classes are also offered.

Amenities at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center include 10 tennis courts, a library/media room, several multi-purpose rooms, and a computer lab.

The Town Hall Education Arts & Recreation Campus - THEARC - is a $27 million, 110,000 square foot, state-of-the art campus located in southeast DC. Nine cultural and social service agencies are based at THEARC - including Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, Children's National Medical Center, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, Covenant House Washington, the Levine School of Music, Parklands Community Center, The Washington Ballet, Trinity University, and Washington Middle School for Girls - all of which share the goal of helping children and families reach their full potential.

In addition to the nine partner agencies based here, THEARC also features a 365-seat theater - the only theater east of the Anacostia River - where children can expand their horizons through drama, music, and dance, and the Washington, DC community can come together for events, performances, and town hall meetings.
