Beanstalk Montessori Mommy and Me offers a way to introduce children to the Montessori philosophy. Parents can attend the 90-minute classes once or twice a week to observe their children in a preschool environment and to learn from seasoned Montessori teachers on how to best foster a love of learning. Each class has a small student-teacher ratio, plus there is no separation anxiety and no potty training required.

BookBonds is a literacy class for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers along with their parents or caregivers. It is a six week "mommy and me" class designed to educate parents on the importance of reading with their child, and to provide hands-on activities that can help their children develop a proficiency and a love for reading. Classes are tailored to each age group and are taught by a reading specialist and mom of a toddler.

The Budding Yogis studio brings mindful yoga to kids, teens, adults, and families in a safe and peaceful studio in NW Washington DC. It currently offer classes in yoga for kids of all ages, teenagers, and adults, as well as special classes that allow family members to practice yoga together. The studio is also home to Circle Yoga, which offers classes in Anusara Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Lifting your Spirits with Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Senior Yoga.

Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) offers families a multitude of ways to learn to express themselves through the visual arts, dance, music, and theatre. CHAW offers classes for children and adults in many artistic disciplines, as well as tumbling and tae kwon do. Infants and toddlers can shake maracas with their mamas in the popular toddler music class.

CHAW offers an after school arts package for kids ages five to 12, which consists of a jam packed arts curriculum every afternoon of the week. Parents can arrange to have children picked up from school and taken directly to CHAW.

Each summer, the workshop offers a series of two-week summer camps, building the arts curriculum around a greater theme, such as the environment or different cultures.

CHAW sponsors a theatre company, music and dance performances, and art shows that feature local artists. Affiliates include the Capitol Hill Youth Chorus, which provides professional instruction in vocal musical performance for kids in grades one through three and four through eight. The Youth Chorus is an open, inclusive community chorus. There are no auditions.

Capitol Hill Yoga offers classes in a variety of styles and ability levels for children and adults. Itsy Bitsy Yoga classes are grouped by age: four weeks to nearly crawling, almost crawling to 24 months, and nearly two to four years old. The Family Yoga workshops offer children, ages five to 12, and their parents, an opportunity to practice yoga together.

The Chevy Chase Community Center has a lighted basketball court and lots of multi-purpose rooms.
